“What should we call her?” Fang asked after about an hour.
“Zanna.” I replied straight away, stroking our baby’s soft cheek.
“Zanna…” He spoke it slowly.
“Yea, I’ve kind of had it mind for a little while.” I mumbled.
‘Why Zanna?” He queried.
“Because I really want people to know that you’re her dad, and that you’re my…” I trailed off realising I hadn’t timed my question as I had planned. “Zanna means Fang in Italian.” I said. “I really liked the idea of having her name linked to her dad like that. Her dad and my…” I paused for dramatic effect and to allow my blush to subside. He raised an eyebrow. “My husband.” I finished, biting on the inside of my curving lips.
“But we’re not married.” He said, with eyebrow still raised.

“Hmm…” I paused again. “So marry me then.”
